Question
79 yrs. female   lbbb for 9 yrs.  never any symptoms.Found with nuclear test.  2 yrs. ago told had 2 mild leaky valves. aortic and mitral. did lbbb cause this? Never any symptoms with these valves either.
Feel fine, moderate energy. Do these conditions always get worse over time? I would prefer valve repair instead of replacements if it ever comes to that. Nice if it does not get worse.  Both parents lived til /91 and 100.  Mother had chf and father heart like a 50 r. old at 100.  Hope my chances look good  Thanks

Answer
Hi Pat,
LBBB may be associated with other heart diseases, but doesn't cause heart valve problems by itself:

I doubt your leaky valves will cause you a problem, but if the leakage gets worse you would develop symptoms such as shortness of breath:

All these issues are best managed with occasional checkups, but I'd expect you will do fine!
Hope this helps,
