Heart & Cardiology/Stroke Screening
I had a recent screening of my carotid arteries( among other things offered by the service) which detected Blood Flow cm/s
PSV(left) < 110 cm/s and Blood Flow cm/s PSV(right)<110cm/s.
Risk Category was listed as Left:Mild Right: Mild
Exactly what does the Category finding mean?
A mild blockage is what it says: mild, thus not significant. However, it indicates also you have some atherosclerosis, even though it is not causing significant obstructions at this point: a good time to check your risks for cardiovascular event such as a heart attack or stroke:
Hope this helps,
