Heart & Cardiology/calcific aortic stenosis

Hi Doctor, Any experience with serrapeptase and nattokinase for reversal of calcific aortic stenosis? Clinical has a study at USC also literature suggests possible benefit of nattokinase in atherosclerotic disease.  Any other interventions aside from TAVR or convential thoracic valve replacement?  Thank you very much for your reply.  Best, Sherry, neurologist

Hi Sherry,
If you are a neurologist, you should know that medications will not reverse calcific aortic stenosis. Treatment with a valve replacement becomes necessary if there is a significant gradient. TAVR is reserved only for patients who cannot undergo a conventional operation:
Hope this helps,
