Question I have a Carrier 58PAV/RAV upflow HVAC unit...when I adjust the thermostat, the unit kicks on, the blower and fan startup but ignitor/burner does not fire up and the unit shuts down after about 1-2 min. I can restart the unit by turning off/on the local electrical switch but the result occurs. The indicator light flashes error code 34. Please help?
Answer Don't have knowledge of those codes Derrick. Could be a failed igniter or a pressure switch. Try jumping across the pressure switch terminals. Or disconnecting a wre. Neer know wheter that is a NO or NC switch.Examine closely the igniter for cracks or broken carbon. It's one of these 2 parts stopping the fire.Blower will run anytime.
