Heating, Air Conditioning, Fridge, HVAC - GE Eterna Series Gas Dryer, Model # EGD4600G7WW

Expert: Eric Campion - 11/4/2009

Question
I want to clean accumulated lint from the inside of the dryer but cannot figure out how to open it up. Can you help?

Answer
Unplug the unit.  Open the dryer door and then in the insiet at the top where the dryer door closes within, there are two or three screws securing the front panel to the top dryer lid.  Remove these screws and then lift up on the top of the dryer lid.  Once lifted up, pull the lid toward you.  Once off, look inside at the top and remove the two screws securing the front panel to the cabinet of the machine.  Pull the front panel toward you and then lift up.  I thnk this will get you where you need to be.  If I Can help further......

Waiting to hear from you,
Eric Campion
