Question we have frazer johnston high effiency heating unit. gas does not blow up first and second time of igniter. gas blow up when igniter ignites third time. also sometimes gas does not blow up. blower motors works fine. i ask why gas does not blow up when it ignites first and second time ?
Answer John,
I'm not sure what you mean by "gas blow up"?
To me "blow up" means "explode" which can't be a good thing in a furnace.
I'm going to assume that your talking about your burner doesn't light the first couple of times it try's?
The reason could be that the igniter isn't positioned close enough to where the gas comes out, or the igniter isn't getting hot enough, or there is a draft disturbing the gas flow because some cover is off?
