Question Last night in the spare bathroom the piece behind the toilet busted, sending water everywhere. The water is now in the heating and air vents. What do I need to do to remove the water? Will this cause damamge to my heating & air condition unit? Temperatures are suppose to drop tonight in the 20's and I need to get this matter resolved asap. Please give me some advice on how to handle this situation.
Answer At the lowest point of the duct you can drill a hole or several in different places to allow the water to escape and after getting the water removed, you can silicon the holes and duct tape the insulation back over the hole. There should be no permanent damage. Thanks J
