Experience I currently have three HVAC licenses and Refrigeration license by the State of North Carolina. I have been in this field for over twenty years. I have been a service technician for a contractor and also worked at a state college in the repair and maintenance of steam lines and equipment. I am currently the Building Maintenance Superintendent for a municipality.
Question I have to change out a air to water heat pump.I want to go to a boiler either electric or lp gas.I have 6000sq ft of radiant floor heat with 3 zones.But I don't know witch way would be better.
Answer LP gas has not increased as significantly as other fuels, but electric still appears to be the most cost efficient in my opinion. At an energy conference I attended, the experts stated that for the first time in history, electric strip heat was more economical that fuel heat. Thanks J
