Question Moved into house3 months ago and have had a few issues with fridge. Latest is
1- ice maker not making ice, checked water fill tube and no water in it. We do have water coming out of the door dispenser although not cold all the time. When cecking from behind to verify no ice blockage on ice maker line notice fan on bottom right side not running. I spin it and it will run a minute or so then stop again.
Not sure if there is a bad switch in ice maker or valve at bottom where water line connects to frdige then splits? Any ideas or things I should check. Also there is a lot of dirty water in a catch ray below fan and at the seam and below of the condensor (bid black tank thing) there is a lot of white stuff (has it been leaking)?

Answer First thing we must deal with is the fan motor not running behind the refrigerator. For tonight, remove the lower cover and place a box fan or any other type fan aimed directly at the compressor. Leave it on continuously until we figure out what is going on. The fan problem at the rear of the refrigerator could be the problem with the ice maker. IF freezer is not frozen enough, the ice maker will not harvest.....Reply tomorrow and let me know if the freezer and refrigerator is working again. Please be as specific as you can.
