Question
Last year the AC tubing(copper)had ice on it. Had it checked to see what was causing the freeze up.  This year the tubing is hot and moisture is on the body of the furnance.  There's very little cool air.  Half heat and half cool air.  I can't find the model no. to give you that information not unless it's under the plate.  The outside unit is only two years old. My questions is there a switch I need too turn to change too AC or I'm I explaining a much bigger problem.  A clean filter is in the unit.  The floor registers have been cleaned out.  So what's next for me too research?

Answer
It's 103 down here in Texas now Ramona, cooling is valuable, right ? The place to start on the unit is testing the freon. Loss of it causes ice to form so it blocks off any air flow across the evaporator coil. Moisture on the furnace is part of it. After it thaes out & the freon is tested, the amount it will take to fill it up determines the size of the leak. Its always the evaporator coil that leaks first. Call a tech.
