Question I have a model: E2EB-017HA 4ton unit. Ihave had the inside and outside coils cleaned, the technician checked the pressure and said that they were O.K. I have changed three thermostats and checked the thermostat wires. The blower fan starts and stop when the unit comes on and sometimes it does not come back on. The compressor keeps running and the inside coil freezes up. You can turn the unit off a while then turn it back on and it is O.K. for maybe one cycle. I was wondering if the sequencers or fan relay could be the problem. Thanks for any insite on this issue.
Answer Have you tested he run capacitor for the blower motor ?? How about the current draw when the motor is running?? A .1 amp draw greater than the rated amps for the motor can stop one. Bearings can be worn or a bad coil can increase the rated amp draw. Do some close checking on the motor & cap.
