I have a Snyder General Comfortmaker model # GUF100A012AN.
The AC and Heating systems seem to be working fine. I assume this because if we set th etemp lower than what it is the system blows cold air. Or, if we turn the heater on and set the temp higher than what it is the system blows hot air.
The issue comes into play when the system reaches the desired temperature it just keeps blowing air. The temp does not change once the desired temp is reached. It is as if the fan just won't shut off.
We end up having to flip the breaker that is connected to the fan.
I have tried to do some searches online but cannot seem to find this same particular issue with a Snyder General system.
Lots of people talking about fan relays going bad.
I feel confidant that I could swap out a new relay or part if need be; but I just need some advice on which part, where it is located and where I can buy a new part from.
Any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Mark
Answer Hi Mark, all those folks are correct. Your problem is "most likely" a stuck fan relay. You have a circuit board in the furnace. When the fan won't stop, tap on one of the little black boxes, or all of them. If the fan doesn't stop, you have to replace the whole thing. That's the new world answer. Used to be a $10 solution. Not any more.
