Question I have a Whirlpool Refrigerator, Model #ET1LFKXKQ (4/8/03) and a Whirlpool Icemaker (Model #ECKMF94) that is the second one since 4/03 that we have had installed that is freezing up in the tube at times that we have to go in and remove the ice to get it to work again. Is there a reason it does this and what, if anything, can we do to avoid this? Our old one did the same thing. This one was installed 9/3/08 and recently started to do the same thing. We thought we were over that by installing a new icemaker. Guess not :( Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
Answer Could be the water inlet valve dripping much like a leaky faucet. Drip...Freeze...Drip...Freeze...Drip...Freeze...Drip...Freeze...Drip...Freeze.......Until finally the entire tube is froze shut. Check this and let me know what you think.....
