Question Here in Australia a company offers a one time service to remove the coating of oil inside pipes, condenser etc which gives "huge" efficiency improvement. Can't help wondering if it is a scam. If is fact why don't HVAC manufacturers or installers apply it as standard? Can't mention company unless you email me.
Answer There is a constant flow of oil mixed in with the refrigerant. Unless there is a burn out or some other reason to cause the oil to coat, I can not see how this cleaning will do anything. I have never heard of anything like this before.
