Heating, Air Conditioning, Fridge, HVAC - Switching from heat to cool?

Expert: Jim Barnhart - 7/10/2009

Question
I recently moved into a new house with Bryant Central Air. I switched the control panel from heat to cool and also switched the cooling fan outside on. It's cool when it kicks on but it doesn't make it any cooler. Do I need to switch something on the furnace itself?

Answer
Clyton,
I don't know what all the switching is?
Other then setting the thermostat to cool, I don't know how you "also switched the cooling fan outside on"
Also I don't know what you mean by  "It's cool when it kicks on but it doesn't make it any cooler"?
