Heating, Air Conditioning, Fridge, HVAC - condensation inside freezer

Expert: Eric Campion - 7/14/2009

Question
I have a Maytag side-by-side MSD2660 that is only a couple weeks old.  Inside the freezer, I noticed there is a constant supply of condensation droplets on the ceiling.  They build up and drip onto the top part of the freezer door and freeze into icicles.  I have had the gasket replaced and still the problem persists.  What could be the problem?  Is it repairable or do you think it is a manufacturing defect?

Answer
Not really sure withoout instructing you to start tearing into things.  Bottomline is it is under warranty.  Don't fool with it.  Call Maytag and Have them take care of it.  Sounds like a door leak or if a ice dispenser, the flapper door not closing all the way.  Good Luck, Eric
