Question What size indoor blower motor (horsepower and rpm)should I use with a system that has a 2 1/2 ton 13 seer condensor , a 2 1/2 ton 13 seer a coil , and a 70% furnace? What rpm would you suggest?
Answer Chris,
A blower motor needs to be compatible with the unit it's mounted on.
If you have a gas furnace for heat and a 2.5 ton cooling coil for cooling and the squirrel cage and the motor mounts are plus the unit designed are all the proper size for such you might be able to find a two speed motor which is what you need for heating and cooling.
An easier way is to get the same exact replacement motor for your particular unit.
If the original motor has disappeared the make and model of the unit might help?
