Heating, Air Conditioning, Fridge, HVAC/Ticking in heat duct/vent

Question
Ticking in my heating vent in very cold weather is driving me nuts.  It starts when the heat starts flowing and will continue a while after it stops blowing. Is there anyway of stopping it or even toning it down.  Help please!

Answer
You can insulate your duct work.  It is expansion causing this noise.  Is the areas heated the duct work is in?
