Heating, Air Conditioning, Fridge, HVAC/Fridge question

Dear Eric,

I have a small refrigerator, a "baby minicooler thermoelectric" unit, according to the Amazon.com site that appears to describe what I have. It doesn't work. The adapter cord lights up green when plugged in, but when I then plug it into the fridge, the light goes out (meanwhile, the light on the fridge flickers green then goes out, too).

Any idea of how I can make it work?

I have never seen one of those units that worked properly when working.  I would think there is a short within the unit.  All I can tell you is to take the unit apart and look for a burnt wire or connection.  THere is no service manual available through our sources for those units.  Most generally until you get labor involce, it exceeds the cost of a new one....that will n ot work well...  If purchasing another small unit, find one with a real compressor.  We just threw one away that came through our shop.... That is what I would do....     Good Luck, Eric
