Question
We are looking at a house to purchase that has propane heat and AC. We'd like to convert from propane to electric. Would it be possible to replace the AC unit with a heat pump? What other options are there?

Answer
Hi Rachel, Yes you can replace the AC with a heat pump. I think that's a smart move. One other option would be to leave the propane as your backup heat. I would avoid the electric heat strips if you can. You won't like your electric bill when those thing's kick on.
