Question
Hi,

I noticed last week that my house was starting to become very humid.  THe AC kept at 74 but the humidity, read from my humidor's hygrometer, was 70%.  My AC unit is less than two years old.  Is the condesor bad?  Evaporator coil?

Thanks

Dusty

I live in Louisiana

Answer
Dusty,

How did  it work last year ? Is this a replacement ,if so how did your old one do as far as humidity removal ? , one thing is that the system has to run in order to remove humidity, if your only runs for short periods ,it may not be enough. Also having a correct refrigerant charge and a correctly sized system for your residence is important.
