Heating, Air Conditioning, Fridge, HVAC/refrigerator makes unusual noise

my GE refrigerator/freezer, Model#THX22ZAZKRWW, emits a strange knocking sound whenever it completes a refrigerating phase. the knocking lasts about 1 to2 seconds and has been occurring for about the past month.

Sounds like the compressor is getting older.....Could be a banging of the motor/pump within the metal casing of the compressor.   Check this and see if you agree.  If yes.....Nothing you can do except replace the compressor.  LEt us know if we can help further....      Eric
