Heat Pump have a four way copper and brass valve inside of the outdoor unit . Google heat pump reversing valve ,then see if you have one inside the outdoor unit near the compressor . The model number is what you need not the serial number . Get the model number and you can google it. Also turn on your heat if you see the outdoor fan and can hear the compressor running you have a Heat Pump. You also may have backup electric heat.
