Question
I have a 15 year old furnace showing the Inducer error. I believe an extensive parts kit containing inducer motor, control board,  and wiring harness is available for $600+. I'm an fearless DIYer willing to take some risk. Do you have any recommendations. Thanks.

Answer
Roy,

Being electrically inclined and mechanically inclined helps , if your inducer motors does not turn , bound up then yes get the kit or inducer only, if you call for heat and all your safety controls did not trip and you put a voltage meter set at AC and read 120 at the two wires of the inducer motor and the motor does not run , then yes replace the inducer motor or buy the kit.
