I have an Ewave over the range MW model # Kot 131uw.  Microwave will run for two minutes, smell hot then shuts down. After 10 minutes come back on as if just plugged in. Turn table does not turn at all even when microwave is working. Inside light only comes on when door is open not when running
Is this worth repaiting?

  Sounds like you have at least two problems with your microwave....the turn table and now a cooking overheat situation.  Personally, the unit you have is not a popular brand and it was either in your home when you purchased it or you got a great deal at the store.  Parts will be difficult to find for your unit.  I do not feel it is a simple repair and with the problem your are describing, both independent of each other, I would be looking at a new unit.  Lowes...Home Depot or any of your Major Appliance Dealers will be able to offer a good deal on a new one.  I have seen them locally on sale for as low as 149.00 for above the range models.  I would take the time and price shop but purchase a known brand...Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire and stay away from Maytag right now because their future does not look bright.  They are currently in the process of being bought out and why take a chance of getting caught in the middle should a warranty issue arise right after you purchase one of their units.  Go shopping rather than have a service tech come in your home and charge you "x" amount of dollars to tell you the same thing I am for free....Even if he can repair it for 100-150....you still have an inferior product that will most likely cause problems in the future.  You probably do not have it more than a few years now.....good luck in your decision......If you need further assistance you may continue emailing through this forum or vist our website at http://www.affordableappliance.com  You can also email us directly at sales@affordableappliance.com   Keep in mind, we do stock 1000's of Major Home Appliance Parts both New and Good Quality Used.
