that model has two plugs on the back , right below the exhaust duct. the top plug can have a hose attached to it , after you remove the plug, the top hose connection is the outlet for condensate pump. the bottom plugged port is for an overflow drain hose to be attached.

I have the same model (bought used) and the light seems to go on and off at will. I haven't yet figured out how 'remove the plug' as there is no plug, only a connector for a hose.

Hey there. I am no AC pro or anything, but I have the same unit. You dont need a drainage kit - on the bottom right of the back end of the unit is a cap that twists off....connect the female end of a garden hose to it (while the unit is OFF)..place the other end either outside or in a bucket - etc...then turn the unit back on. It will drain itself...when it stops....disconnect the hose and screw the cap back on (or you will lose some cooling power)

Hey Sam and thanks for your answer. I tried that! The manual implies that the excess water will come gushing out (as if)and reminds me to have an appropriate size pail on hand. At best, I get a few ounces of water, usually on the floor. Not sure where it is coming from but doesn't appear to be the drain hose.. the water level light stays on & fans operate but not cooling. Any ideas?? It looks and sounds like it should be a good worker in a small area (eg bedroom) but so far it is as much trouble as a new puppy!
