Subject: black metal ideology nsbm etc

Question
I have heard so many things about bm, I'm a little bit confused.. I'd like to know more about the ideology of black metal and also about the so called 'national socialist black metal' when, how did it appear how it is related to other non-nazi black bands? others say it has nothing to do with black metal ideology and it opposes it, while others say all black metal is related with nazism and such ideas.. what is your opinion?

Answer
a lot of black metal embraces anti christian views, misanthropy, nihilism, paganism and some nationalism sometimes!

its wrong to say that NS(national socialist) black metal goes against the ideology of black metal as there are so many bands who have different views on everything mentioned above...some focus on satanism, others paganism etc.  NS is not a different style, it is the same music as black metal but the idelogy and lyrics are a bit different.

Just like Viking metal bands will focus on vikings, NS bands focus on Neo Nazi views...usually tied in with euro pagan religions.  It is not really a sub genre of black metal, it just gains fame because it is a taboo subject and some labels release nothing other than neo nazi metal.

Some black metal artists are opposed as it is seen as racist, others who do not write about this style agree. All I can add is that not all black metal is tied in with nazi views, it is just a specific ideology of certain bands and artists

thanks for the q, if you want more info added please write back
