Question What sub-genre of metal should Slipknot be labeled as?
I always thought they were either heavy metal or black metal but since you're an expert, I hope you can answer.

Answer Slipknot are considered to be a part of the "nu metal" genre, but they're a lot heavier than most nu metal bands. They were heavily influenced by black metal and death metal bands, but they combine those influences with rap (on their first two albums), industrial and classic metal influences.
