About Mike Rogers
Expertise
I can answer pretty much any questions about metal: bands, genres, songs, etc.

Experience
I am a life-long metal fan, I'm a guitarist in a metal band, I've been to a huge amount of concerts (including every Ozzfest) and have met a lot of famous metal musicians, including Phil Anselmo, Zakk Wylde, Ozzy Osbourne, Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, Dee Snider, etc.

Education/Credentials
I graduated from high school, but decided not to attend college to commit to my band full-time.

Question
So a British heavy metal band from the late 70s and early 80s is part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement I know that much. When bands from that era release albums after that  are they still NWoBHM or since that era is over do we say its speed metal or heavy metal what ever and is NWoBHM only bands that emerged in that era like Judas Priest was around in that time but because they were around putting out albums before that are they not included as NWOBHM? Last thing finally last thing since I wasn't around for that time what are some good band from nwobhm apart from the leading lights that everyone already knows which would be Saxon, Diamond Head, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden and Motorhead

Answer
1. NWOBHM ran from 1979-around 1985-6. Any album before that is referred to as classic metal or just heavy metal. Any similar-sounding album released after that would be called speed or thrash metal.
2. Some good NWOBHM bands are: Angel Witch, Tygers of Pan Tang, Samson (featured a pre-Maiden Dickinson), Venom, A II Z, Girlschool, Lionheart, and Witchfinder General. I would also recommend checking out the Metal for Muthas compilation, which is probably the first NWOBHM album.
