Hebrew Language - Plaque for my Mom

Expert: Gaddy Yaari - 5/2/2009

Question
Shalom Gaddy, we want to put on my Mom's headstone Jesus is Lord in Hebrew and Nisan 1 in Hebrew.  We have been given a Hebrew alphabet with numbers above it.  Could you please give us the Hebrew letters by name in their order?  May G-d richly bless you for the good you do.

Answer
Hi Gail,

Jesus is Lord in Hebrew is "Yeshua haAdon". Yeshua is spelled yod shin vav ayin, ישוע

haAdon is spelled heh aleph dalet vav nun-sofit,  האדון

Nisan 1 in Hebrew is "Nisan aleph". Nisan is spelled nun yod samech nun-sofit. ניסן

Aleph is aleph followed by an apostrophe.  'א

So the first line (Yeshua haAdon) is: ישוע האדון

The second line (Nisan aleph) is: 'ניסן א

All the best,

Gaddy
