Question
Shalom Gaddy!
I've enjoyed reading some of your translations. My brother passed away a few years ago and my mom has made it through the sorrow since. I would like to make a plaque for her with the inscription "I'll never leave you nor forsake you" from Joshua 1:5. Could you help me translate it and how you pronounce it. I would really appreciate it. I've tried going to other websites that translate but they each give something different.

Todah Rabah (I hope that's how you say 'thank you very much')

Rick

p.s. How do you pronounce atonement in Hebrew.

Answer
Hi Rick,

Josh. 1:5 reads: לא ארפך ולא אעזבך  (Lo arpekh velo e'ezvekh).

Atonement in Hebrew is Kippur (as in Yom Kippur). It's pronounced kee-poor.

All the best,

Gaddy
