Question
1.  What does it mean to be created in God's "Image."
2.  What does it mean to be created in God's "Likeness."

Answer
John,

Both are translations of the Hebrew noun Tzelem (image or likeness). In Judaism, God has no corporeal attributes, and therefore He doesn't have an 'image'. When Genesis says that Adam was created in God's image, it means a spiritual likeness. When Adam and Eve ate that apple, they lost their spiritual likeness to God.
