Question
Hi Jay. I was wondering if being in the U.S Marine Reserve would help me get into medical school. I know that it mostly depends on the MCAT and GPA. But would that set me aside from other applicants? if so, is it significant?

Answer
Hi, Pratik.

I don't really see how it would make you a better candidate in any significant way, unless you had training and experience in a medical area.

There are ways that you can maximize your competitiveness and stand out from the crowd.  I have free info on this on my site:

I am also available to work with you for a fee on advanced MCAT strategies and other aspects of the admisions process.

Best,
