Question
If you on low income but you make really good grades and you want to go to medical school, how could you pay for college?

Answer
Hi, Corrina.

There are plenty of student loans available to get through med school.  Yes, it is a big investment.  You will come out of med school with a large student loan debt but this is how everyone does it.

There may be some programs that will let you earn forgiveness on some of your student loans by working in low income areas after med school.

If you are not too clear on how loans work or whether that is a good thing for you, you can go talk with the financial aid office at a medical school and they will help you understand how it works.
