Help with College & Grad School Applications - statement of purpose

Expert: Jay Cutts - 1/5/2001

Question
Hi--i'm looking for help on the statement of purpose section of PhD in English applications--do you know of any sites where i could see examples or get a few tips on this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated--Marcelle

Answer
Hi,Marcelle.  I actually have a free booklet available on the subject.  It is called How to Get Accepted to Grad School - A Take-Charge Approach. About half of the booklet focuses on the statement of purpose, or Personal Statement.  You can order it (again, it is completely free) at:
http://www.cuttsreviews.com/jcutts/

If you still need some help after reviewing, please let me know.  Good luck.
