Question
If you are with someone who has Aids how long does it take for you to Contacted Aids and for it to show?

Answer
Hello Bob,
Warm welcome to you!
To get positive result for HIV antibodies It will take atleast 3-6 months. So for trustable results you can test it at 3rd month and repeat on 6th month after exposure to avoid false positive/negative in lab reports. But symptomatically speaking, some people take years to develop symptoms. But one can always trust lab investigations if they have doubt of HIV exposure.

Hope that helps.

Take care. Have a great day. Bye.
