The Experience fly from New York to Virginia Beach,Virginia for two
shows at The Civic Dome. M.Boyle remembers the follow

One afternoon we were in this bar in Virginia sitting around
quietly. And the waitress told us that it had just come over
the radio that Martin Luther King had been shot. I saw Jimi
staring away into space. We flew back to New York immediately.

Apr.5,1968  Symphony Hall,Newark,New Jersey.

Jimi came on very quietly to enomous applause. Then he said
softly into the microphone,"This number is for a friend of
mine". He then began an improvisation that had a beauty that
was simply appalling. This music somehow seemed to convey
all the agony of the black people. The whole audience was
weeping. When he finished there was no applause.Jimi just
laid his guitar down and walked quietly off the stage
