Here's some more for question #6. I was told by an older buddy that when Purple Haze or Foxy Lady hit the airwaves {radio}, people didn't really know who Hendrix was but they knew they wanted more of what they were hearing no matter who it was. That type of sound had never been heard on the radio until those two songs came out. Hey Joe and All Along the Watchtower were good also but the airplay was not as much as the first two.
