Question
James, back in May you answered the following question;

"Was there ever an iteration of the Jimi Hendrix Experience that included Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, John Mayall and Jack Bruce?"

Your reply was;

"no that never happenned unfortunately. Jimi did jam with Clapton a few times but nothing was recorded it seems.
There was of course that famous occasion when the unknown Hendrix came on to jam with Cream at the close of one of their 1966 concerts. Nobody knew what Jimi was capable of, including Cream themselves. Jimi went into "Killing Floor" and everybody's jaw dropped. Clapton stopped playing and stood aside to simply admire Jimi in action."

I hate to correct you, but this did happen...I just bought the bootleg LP of this recording. Have a look at item #160155799448 on ebay.

Answer
Hi John,

I couldn't find that item on e-bay, perhaps you could mail me something more precise. Whatever you have bought, I stand by what I said, it is not a recording with that line up, despite what the recording is described as. Either that or you have the scoop of the century, which seems unlikely. Perhaps it is simply the "Jack Bruce jams" ? Please try and give me more details (you can contact me through my website also - se my profile).
Jim
