I graduated from Govt. Unani Medical College, Chennai - 106 in 1992, I did my post graduation in Unani Pharmacology in Govt. Nizamia Tibbi College, Hyderabad, in 1998. I have also underwent training in advanced analytical Instruments for drug standardisation.

Dear Doctor,
I am an Indian with PCOS and its diffcuilt to find the herbs.will be really glad if you suggest me the hindi names and where they are available
psylluim husks,flaxseeds,saw palmetto,vitex,nettles root.

Answer
Dear Daksha,
for PCOD the drug of choice in my practice is white sandal and Bamboo manna any how as you just wanted hindi names psyllum husks is Isapghol, Flaxseeds is Alsi, Vitex is Sambhalu, nettles root is bichu(this is not available in market and not of indian origin), saw palmetto is also not of indian origin so there is no hindi names for it) but you can get a combination of Saw Palmetto and Nettles root(Urtica dioica).
