Question I just bought evening primrose, ginko biloba, flax seed oil, skullcap, lions mane,
vitamin E, C , D and a B complex and milk thistle. can I take all of this on the
same day? I have multiple sclerosis and looked up the best the best things to
take for it as i take no pharmaceuticals. Is this safe? Thank you.
Answer Hi Kerri,
1.) Evening primrose. - Take as directed on label 3 times per day with meals. As essential fatty acid needed to control symptoms. Deficiency is common in people with MS. I would use Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) if available.
2.) Gingko Biloba. Take as directed. Improves brain function.
3.) Flax seed oil. Another essential fatty acid. Divide use with Evening Primrose.
4.) Lions Mane. I'm not familiar with it. Sorry.
5.) Milk thistle. My favorite. A wonderful antioxidant and liver protector. Take 500 mg 3 times daily. Also 350 mg of Dandelion root 3 times daily. Cleanses your blood and protects your kidneys.
6.) Skullcap. Take at bedtime. Will help to relax. Valerian root is another good one.
7.) Vitamins E, C, D, and B-complex. Vitamin E. Begin with 400 IU daily. Increse slowly to 800 IU. Important for circulation, destroys free radicals, and protects the nervous system.
Vitamin C. 3,000 to 5,000 mg daily. Promotes production of the anti-viral protein inferon in the body. Take a buffered ascorbic acid or an esterfied form such as Ester C.
Vitamin D. 800 IU daily. Aids in calcium sbsorption.
Vitamin B-complex.- 100mg 3 times daily. - Aids in cellular longevity and aids in immune system function.
8.) Take Kyolic garlic capsules 3 times per day with meals. An excellent source of sulfur which protects against toxic substances.
9.) Take Alfalfa capsules or Vitamin K. 200mg 3 times daily with meals. Lacking with MS.
Also add 2,000 mg of Calcium daily. Deficiency noted in MS. Also add 1,000 mg of magnesium daily.
Yes take these daily. It sounds like a lot, but it is a sound regimine for MS.
