Question
I have been diagnosed with GERD and take a digestive supplement, drink aloe vera juice, although i was not aware I should drink before each meal.  I take Resveratrol and a Probiotic.  I am 59 years old and before diagnosed suffered with heartburn most of my adult life.  I also believe I have diverticulitis and when I eat something I shouldn't (unknowingly)I suffer severe lower abdominal pain, that feel like cramps for up to 7 days after.  I can only drink liquids and eat soft food.  I was told Oil of Oregano will cure me.  I read so many things I just don't know what to do to help my problem.

Answer
It's hard to say without seeing you. I would love to help though.I have to ask how many bowel movements do you have a day and what is your diet like. What kind of foods do you eat. How do you combine them. It may be one substance that is causing the problem or may be you are backed up. Our digestive tract is like your household plumbing system.  2-3 bowel movement are required if you eat 2-3 times aday. You bowel movement should not be hard stools If they are there is not enough fiber in your diet. If you lived in Maryland I could see you . But here is a suggestion. First do to my web site and read the lifestyle tips.  Go over them and see if anything catches your eye.  I do believe your bowels are directly related to our emotional states. You may want to try the teas. The tummy tonics has been reported to ease gurd . It tastes good and helps with gas. But we should examine to see where the gas is from My web site is www.naturalcomfortteas.com  You can write again to let me know how that sounds.  Blessings Jayne
