Question
QUESTION: I am reading a book on nutritional healing and i have a few problems that require a number of vitamins and supplements.  now how do i know which ones that maybe don't mix with others and how long do you take them for?  I am drinking only 1 cup of kefir that i make at home with raw milk, fish oil, nac, co-Q10, vitamin c powder in my water and now i am adding pure acai liquid.  do you think this is too much? i have a few health problems that i am trying to work with myself. My main problem is my weight. i have a fatty liver, hernia (stomach) sarcodosis and arthritis what do you think? i don't have a lot of money to afford a dr.

ANSWER: Hi dee,

Dealing with numerous ailments at one time is difficult. I think you are pretty well set here. Do not exceed 60-100 mg of Coenzyme Q-10 per day.

Remember, if something is causing you to feel worse, discontinue use.

Also 500 mg of Milk Thistle 2 times a day will help protect your liver. Also Dandelion Root is a wonderful blood cleanser. Follow package directions.

Alfalfa is a great source of vitamin K, which your body needs to heal.

I am concerned about your Sarcoidosis. This problem can be tricky. I am going to post you link to more raw food treatment. It is a lengthy article, read through if at you leisure, there is some good advice on raw food therapy.

Answer
Hi Dee,

Your body won't absorb 200mg of Co Q-10. That is why 100mg is enough. Sarcoidosis is such an unknown ailment that it should be a concern. I believe you are taking the proper supplements. Read the article on raw foods.

If many granulomas form in an organ, they can affect how the organ works. This can cause signs and symptoms. Signs and symptoms vary depending on which organs are affected. Many people who have sarcoidosis have no symptoms or mild symptoms.

I think kefir is a very valuable supplement for treating sarcoidosis. Keep doing what you're doing, Dee, I think you will see positive results.

Dennis
