Question
What health benefits does Lavender have? What dietary vitamins or minerals does Lavender contain?

Answer
Dear Tiarne...

Hello. You are the only one who has ever asked me about Lavendar!  Well i will tell you what we Generally use Lavendar for.

The other thing, is that we do not usually look at lavendar in terms of vitmans or minerals it contains, we mainly focus on the Plant Phyto-Chemical Properties.

The main chemical components of the Lavender are: Lavendulyl acetate, Linalyl acetate, Linalool, Borneol, Geraniol, and Cineol.

Now, Although lavender is considered one of the safest essential oils, you should stop it's use if you have any sort of reactions.

The therapeutic properties of Lavender oil include: Analgesic, Antiseptic, anti-convulsant, anti-depressant, anti-toxic, anti-rheumatic, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, carminative, deodorant, diuretic, nervine, restorative, sedative, insecticide and tonic.

The Oil has a soothing and calming effect on the nerves, depression, relieving tension, panic, hysteria and nervous exhaustion in general.

It is apparently effective for headaches, migraines and insomnia.

So Lavender oil is beneficial for problems such as: bronchitis, asthma, colds, laryngitis, halitosis, throat infections and whooping cough.

It helps the digestive system as well.

It also relieves Pain when used for rheumatism, arthritis, lumbago and muscular aches and pains.

Lavender will also tone the skin and is quite useful for all types of skin problems: abscesses, acne, oily skin, boils, burns, sunburn, wounds, psoriasis, lice, insect bites, stings and as an insect repellent!

Lavender is one of the few essentials oils that can be used Neat on the skin, and this is especially useful when treating a minor burn wound.

However, its effects on the immune system, are not much to be spoken of, as this is not a region one would use Lavendar.

The Immune System is the one mainly responsible for preventing dis-eases, or in Allowing dis-eases to manifest.

Although Lavendar has properties we consider Healing, Our main focus is on the immune system. For This is the Most Important Function in the human body.
