Herbs for Health - Lowering Cholesterol/ Blood Sugar with Cinnamon

Expert: Dr. Thomas M.Walter, M.D. - 11/30/2004

Question
I have an elevated Cholesterol level of 227.  I was told that I could use Cinnamon to help lower that.  From what I have read, it can lower blood sugar levels too.  Is this accurate and if so, how should the cinnamon be used?  How much, How often?  What form is best and is it as effective when used in foods rather than supplements?

Thanks
Sheri Spain
