Answer Senna is like a purgative. It purges your bowles rather harshly It mae me sick for three days. They should mix it with other herbs like peppermint. It does not aid digestion. I would be careful. You may lose weight but too fast and not very comfortably. I personally have stayed away from senna for many years and recomment to my clients to do the same. Sorry. I would look for a diuretic tea with dandelion. Water weight is easier to shed. Jayne
