Experience I have kept crabs with three or less limbs coming from bad conditions, even ones i had to feed with toothpicks by hand daily. I love my crabs and always will.
Question How do I tell if my hermit crab is a girl or a boy?
Answer On the fifth pair of legs there might be two black dots....if they are there its a girl, if not its a boy. Dont try to pull them out to see...they will rip. Try giving a bath and see if they will strech out or made them walk on a glass table with you underneath to check it out.
