Question hi, i really don't understand how you are supposed to give them a bath can you please explain how and what do i clean them with? thank you Michelle
Answer You can bathe them or let them bathe themselves.I would suggest only bathing them when introducing new crabs, if you find bugs in the tank or if they have an infection.
To bathe them yourself you need room temperature dechlorinated water. Put the crabs in upside down, they should poke their head and legs out and flip themselves over. After a minute you can take them out and place them in a plastic tub or cardboard box lined with some paper towels for a minute or two. Then put back into a cleaned tank.
To bathe themselves, have deep water bowls in the tank for them to get into. You can slope one side with aquarium rocks, choya, plastic plants etc to help smaller crabs get out easier. I do this in my tank.
