About Dan
Expertise
Being a senior in high school, I have been through it all. High school's been the best and worst years of my life. I can answer anything from relationship problems to self image issues. I have been to many schools and I know how hard it is to make friends and want nothing more than to be accepted. I've learned patience and acceptance and I just want to help you guys out in any way I can =) Ask away!

Experience
I have been a camp counselor several times in the past. Whenever some of the kids I was looking after had a problem they came to me to help work it out.

Organizations
Not really religious, but I help out the community church down the road by playing saxophone and piano for them whenever they put on a production.

Education/Credentials
I'm a senior in high school and therefore have first hand knowledge of the subject.

Awards and Honors
I'm an Honor Role student and I received the top academic award for my grade last year (the Dux award).

High School Life - superiority problem

Expert: Dan - 10/17/2009

Question
I believe I may be developing a superiority complex see I get picked on a lot and I'm nice but I'm also quiet now I used to think I was antagonized for being different but then I started thinking that I myself have never been mean because someone looked or acted differently I'm just not the judgmental type and so my thoughts have become focused more on hate and I am starting to believe I have bullies because I'm better than they are and I know resisting peer pressure is hard it takes a strong person to say no to their friends and not be a jerk but an even stronger person wouldn't have friends like that in first place which to me only adds further proof of my superiority so if there is any advice you can give please help

Answer
Ah man don't worry about it so much.  So what if you do get a little arrogant?  It's better than locking yourself in your room and crying 'cause you're getting bullied, right?  Seriously, if your response to getting bullied is developing a superiority complex then congratulations.  And don't worry, bullies start to wear out as you get older so pretty soon you won't even have anything to worry about.

Good luck buddy!
Dan
