AboutDan Expertise Being a senior in high school, I have been through it all. High school's been the best and worst years of my life. I can answer anything from relationship problems to self image issues. I have been to many schools and I know how hard it is to make friends and want nothing more than to be accepted. Experience I have been a camp counselor several times in the past. Whenever some of the kids I was looking after had a problem they came to me to help work it out.
Organizations Not really religious, but I help out the community church down the road by playing saxophone and piano for them whenever they put on a production.
Education/Credentials I'm a senior in high school and therefore have first hand knowledge of the subject.
Awards and Honors I'm an Honor Role student and I received the top academic award for my grade last year (the Dux award).
Question Hi Dan,
I was wondering if you could give me some advice about a boy I'm really good friends with. Everyone says he likes me, and I don't know if he does or not. We have a kind of competitive relationship, too, because he's valedictorian and I'm salutatorian. We always help each other out with homework, and things like that. But he does pay me more attention than all his other friends, and we share stuff like dreams, and he'll tell me things he tells no one else. He also likes to tease me and playfully pull pranks on me and things like that. Plus, he was the only one to really notice the ring of orange around the pupils of my eyes, so that makes me think he pays close attention to me, too. Are these things a friend would do, or does he like me as more than a friend?
Answer Haha welllllll I can't say 'cause I've never seen you two together but it definitely sounds like he does. Or else, he could. There's definitely something there. I wouldn't trash it. See if you can mold it into something beautiful.
